Solve converting MTS to Apple ProRes with only audio no video sync

While importing MTS footage to FCP, many guys encounter audio and video sync issue. It will be very annoying if the audio is behind or ahead of a video, even if it is only for two or one second. Sometimes, no audio but only audio or no audio but only video also happens. How to convert MTS to Apple ProRes with audio and video sync? This article is special for this.


"I am trying to convert .MTS files from a Panasonic HDC-HS700 AVCHD camcorder. The output format I'm looking for is Apple ProRes 422(LT). After conversion, the file size is very small, and there is no video, only audio. I'm on a Macbook Pro running OSX 10.6.8."

Step3. Preset video and audio profile. (Optional)


You can click "Settings" to set up video size, frame rate, bitrates and other settings.


Step4: Conversion.


Click "Conversion" icon that the iMedia Converter for Mac will import MTS into FCP with audio and video sync. With just a click on "Open output folder", you can locate the export MOV quickly.
