Hi there! I've been running for a while now, mostly at my work's fitness center, along with a few 5K races, and recently got a treadmill at home. The fitness center has the LifeFitness treadmills, which are certainly higher-end (and more expensive) than my Sole F63 treadmill. I've noticed that when I run on the Sole treadmill, I can't go nearly as long/far as I can on the LifeFitness ones, and that my lower back is achy afterwards. It's frustrating, since I can easily go 2+ miles without stopping on the LifeFitness, but can barely get 1 mile on the Sole without my legs burning like crazy!.
I'm wondering if this is because my home treadmill has a smaller motor (2.5HP vs 4 or 5HP), or if there's something else I'm overlooking? Is it just something that my muscles will eventually get used to? Or are there things/settings/etc that I should look at that might need to be 'fixed'? As in, maybe the treadmill isn't level, or the belt needs adjusted, or ???
thanks!
