If you are looking for a positive environment where your daughter's passion for fastpitch softball is nurtured and encouraged - the Texas Venom '01 is looking for you.  Texas Venom is planning for a new '01 12U team that will be based out of the StaMo Sports Complex, Missouri City (1917 Moore Rd).  Tryouts will take place Thursday, August 15 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm on Field #1 and Saturday, August 17 from 11:00am - 1:00pm on Field #1 at the StaMo Sports Complex.  Our team's goal is simple - we want our girls to have a strong base to build on while progressing toward the goal of eventually playing Division 1 Softball.  We believe that through hard work, consistency and repetition in practice that players can perform during games. The head coaches are Will Martinez & David McMillin.

Texas Venom Mission Statement

"The Texas Venom Girls Fast Pitch Organization is about teaching a team concept while encouraging our players to grow individually.  Although winning and losing is a huge part of the game, it's not our main focus.  Our desire is to see our players develop their skill levels and have every opportunity to play college softball.  The Texas Venom organization has  12U, 14U, 16U teams and 18 Gold Showcase team.  The 16U and 18 Gold Showcase teams play not just in the Houston area but also travel to places like Colorado, Louisiana and Oklahoma to play in both tournaments and showcase/exposure tournaments."

Mike Loy is the Venom organization manager and 18 Gold Team Coach.  Mike has been active in softball for over 20 years.  He also owns Collegiate Access, which is a service that helps girls to be recognized for scholarship opportunities by colleges and universities around the nation. He has formed relationships with many of the coaches at the top levels of softball.  The Venom Organization has many resources at their disposal.  This includes several college softball players offering their support and guidance during their off time.  From running practices and clinics, to offering moral support and mentoring, these college players offer a wealth of knowledge and exposure for your daughters.

The Texas Venom '01 team will allow our 12U girls to grow together and stay together as they progress to the next levels.  This will allow the girls to come together truly as a team and "family".  They will be able to rely on each other as players & teammates and will offer consistency throughout their non-scholastic career.
